Emerald Pointe Apartments

Emerald Pointe, purchased in November of 2004, was the Company’s largest and most challenging renovation project. Built in 1974 and severely distressed at time of purchase, the 415 unit complex was under renovation when Hurricane Katrina hit in August of 2005. Emerald Pointe is strategically located next door to Summerfield Apartments. New amenities included a Resident Pavillion, Washer/ Dryer Connections, a new Leasing Center, Resident Car Wash, Fitness Center and a Playscape. Emerald Pointe’s thirty seven buildings were devastated by the hurricane and suffered wind, flood, fire and tornado damage as well as extensive looting and vandalism. The complex is currently vacant awaiting the resolution of our insurance claims. |
