Kevin O’Brien - CEO

Kevin O’Brien is the Founder and CEO of the O’Brien Realty Group. Kevin began his career in 1982 as a property manager of small to medium sized distressed apartment properties. In 1983, he began acquiring, renovating and brokering apartment complexes. As a “turnaround” specialist for the past twenty-five years, Mr. O’Brien has acquired, renovated and managed forty distressed multifamily projects and revitalized more than three-thousand apartments. In addition, he has acted as General Partner or Managing Member of twenty-four separate investment partnerships. Kevin is a Connecticut native and currently lives in Aspen, Colorado.

Robert Kozikowski - Regional Manager

Robert Kozikowski started his real estate career in 1988 as a strip mall manager. Over the past twenty years he has held the positions of licensed real estate agent, apartment leasing consultant, property manager and regional manager. Mr. Kozikowski joined the O’Brien Realty Group in 2000. He has extensive expertise in maintenance/renovation and substantial experience in the turnaround of distressed multifamily complexes. Rob is responsible for management and day to day operations of the company’s portfolio in Charlotte, North Carolina. He holds the designation of Accredited Residential Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is a lifelong resident of Connecticut.

Sheridan A. Jenkins – Regional Manager

Sheridan A. Jenkins joined the O’Brien team in October 2008. Her career began in 1996. Over a twelve year period, Ms. Jenkins has held the following positions: leasing, assistant manager, property manager, facilities/ building manger and senior community manager. Prior to joining the Obrien Realty Group she worked with a New Orleans based asset management company where she was a multi-site supervisor, and then director of operations for a portfolio of properties that included five (5) apartment communities consisting of over 1,800 units. Her experience and concentration has included lease-ups, rehabilitations / renovations, the implementation of preventive maintenance and resident retention programs. Her focus at O’Brien Realty will be to manage the New Orleans area properties.  Sheridan holds the National Leasing Professional Designation and she recently completed the real estate sales licensing education for Louisiana.  Ms. Jenkins is proud to be lifelong resident of New Orleans.

Jay Guffey - Construction Supervisor

Jay Guffey is our Construction Supervisor. Mr. Guffey was the job foreman for the installation of new exterior siding on fifteen buildings at Devonwood Apartments in 2005. Mr. Guffey has eighteen years of experience in general construction, remodeling and renovation with special expertise in carpentry, replacement windows, framing and exterior siding. He is currently renovating Summerfield Apartments in New Orleans, LA a 220-unit complex. Jay is from Oklahoma and has been a New Orleans resident for the past twenty-one years.

Darius Frederick - Property Manager

Darius Frederick joined the O’Brien Realty Group in December of 2007 as the manager of Delta Crossing, a 178 unit complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Frederick was recently promoted and is now the property manager of the company's largest asset, Somerstone at Winding Trails. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he has over eight years of Property Management experience with a focus on Resident Retention and Customer Loyalty. Darius was born and raised in Queens, New York and has lived in the Carolinas for the past fourteen years.

Paula Sallet - Property Manager

Paula Sallet is our Property Manager at Delta Crossing, a 178 unit complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined the O’Brien Realty Group in October of 2008. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Paula brings eight years of comprehensive property management experience to the company. Previously employed with Intermark Management of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Tri-Command Properties of Parris Island, South Carolina Ms. Sallet has held the positions of Assistant Manager and Property Manager at properties ranging from 348 to 385 units. She relocated to Charlotte in June of 2008.

Trinise A. Walker – Property Manager

Trinise A. Walker joined O’Brien Realty Group in October 2008 as a property manager for Summerfield Apartment Homes in New Orleans, a 224 unit garden style apartment community. Ms. Walker began working in the multi-family housing industry in 1996. Her successful journey started as a leasing agent, assistant manager and then becoming a community manager. Ms. Walker has extensive knowledge of the local market and brings over twelve years experience with both tax credit and conventional market rate communities ranging from 108 to 415 units.  Ms. Walker is a lifelong resident of New Orleans.

Marilyn Lopez - Assistant Property Manager

Marilyn Lopez joined The O’Brien Realty Group in August of 2006 and is our Assistant Property Manager at Somerstone at Winding Trails, a 360 unit apartment community in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began her career in 2002 as a leasing consultant with the JS Proctor Management Company of Charlotte. Marilyn also worked with Aimco at three different 300 unit complexes in Charlotte including the 360 unit Runaway Bay. Ms. Lopez is a native of Puerto Rico and has resided in Charlotte for the past four years.

April Harper - Assistant Property Manager

April Harper is our Assistant Property Manager at Delta Crossing, a 178 unit apartment complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Harper began her career in property management with America First Investors in 2005. She held the position of Leasing Agent at Delta Crossing when the O’Brien Realty Group acquired the property in December of 2006. April is a native of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina.

Marlin Torres - Assistant Property Manager

Marlin Torres joined the O’Brien Realty Group in November of 2006 as a Leasing Agent at Cameron at Hickory Grove, a 202 unit complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Torres was promoted to assistant property manager at Somerstone at Winding Trails, a 254 unit complex also in Charlotte and has been instrumental in improving our occupancy. Marlin is a native of El Salvador and has lived in Charlotte for the past seventeen years.

Maria Bynum - Assistant Property Manager

Maria Bynum is our Assistant Property Manager at Cameron at Hickory Grove. She began her career in 1997 and brings eleven years of experience to the O'Brien Realty Group. Ms. Bynum has held the positions of Assistant Manager and Property Manager for companies such as Druker & Faulk, Julian Lecraw Company and Intersouth Management. Maria is a lifelong resident of Charlotte.

Mahogany Houston - Leasing Director

Mahogany Houston joined the O’Brien Realty Group in March of 2007. Ms Houston began her career as a Leasing Agent at Somerstone at Winding Trails, a 360 unit complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was recently promoted to the position of Leasing Director at Somerstone. Mahogany has a strong background in customer service and previous experience in accounts payable. She is a lifelong resident of Charlotte.

Dina Toledo - Leasing Agent

Dina Toledo joined the O’Brien Realty Group in July of 2008 as a Leasing Agent at Somerstone at Winding Trails, a 360 unit complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally from Managua, Nicaragua Ms. Toledo brings her proficient bi-lingual skills to the company. Dina has lived in Charlotte for seventeen years.

Sabrina Bourgeois – Leasing Agent

Sabrina Bourgeois is a leasing agent for Summerfield Apartment Homes in New Orleans. Sabrina has over 5 years experience in apartment leasing. Sabrina was a previous employee of Emerald Pointe Apartments in New Orleans and she was very excited to rejoin the O’Brien Realty Group in November 2008. Sabrina enjoys leasing; she works well with her co-workers and prospective residents. Ms. Bourgeois is a lifelong resident of New Orleans.
